Proof I'm losing my mind and/or have been re-reading too much Harry Potter

I was preparing for a short trip to Vicenza, which included an oil change, hair cuts, procuring the last 11 boxes of Girl Scout cookies on base, and random shopping at the commissary and P/X. As I'd finally gotten around to buying a wallet to keep my American dollars in, I was looking for the bills and change I knew were lying around the house.

I started referring to this as Muggle money. Does that mean Europeans are wizards and witches and Americans are Muggles?

Later, when we actually were in Vicenza, Laura asked why I wouldn't buy her an owl pendant. I told her I'd buy her an owl when she gets her acceptance letter to Hogwarts.

Of course, Hogwarts doesn't take transfer students, so I think I'm safe.

The only reference to American wizards is in the 4th book. I would LOVE to read about an American version of Hogwarts.
