Recently my friend Michele wrote about her complicated relationship with cauliflower. I found the cauliflower-cheddar soup recipe quite interesting and finally got around to making it today.
The results:
Yeah, it's not a great photo, but the soup was good. Laura ate it, too, although she did put a few pieces of pepperoni in hers (apparently we're out of bacon bits). I added sour cream for serving (that little white blob in the middle) and used half cream and half milk. I also blended it pretty thorougly in the food processor. I might try a potato-and-cauliflower combination next time to see whether that makes for a smoother consistency since certain people have issues with such things. And no, I'm not naming any names.

1. I haven't even read this blog. I saw the plate, stopped and 2. I now have to ask, is it a Nove plate?
I recently went crazy at Nove! It was awesome.
The other day I was at the grocery store and I saw some guy talking to a little girl after she said to her mom, "I love cabbage!" This sweet old guy said "Me too! I could eat it three times a day!" There were like 6 heads of the stuff in his cart. All I could think is that he must be single because that is some serious gas-inducing stuff there.
You know . . . I'm just trying to class up your comment-section a bit. ;)
